ABOUT THE COURSE

The program is aimed for students from intermediate level to advanced and for young professionals.

The faculty and guest artists of the next edition are presented under the section « Program » on our website. The course comprises of daily open masterclasses, focused workshops days (orchestral repertoire, historical performance practise, improvisation/jazz), and a masterclass day with our Guest Artist. Attendance of recitals and Backstage talks.  There is free time for independent study, private lessons and fun game nights. Program culminating with the closing concert – Harp Gala. 

Daily. Each participant play in all mastersclasses and workshops.

Rented harps are shared.  It depends on the number of participants (previously 2 – max. 3 participants). If we have more students than harps available, a schedule is planned in order to assure every student has a minimum of practice hours. If you bring your own instrument, you are not concerned by this schedule and can practice freely on your instrument during free time.

We take care of enough practicing for each one. Average practicing is 4 hours. Those who wish to practice longer, can do so by arrangement.

ABOUT THE PAYMENTS

All prices and fees are described under the section Info, Apply & Fees on our website. If you are not sure about which fees you have to pay, please check the description on the « Registration Form ».

As an Active participant, the complete payment of the course requires the Application fee and the Course fee (See « Info, Apply & Fees»)

As an Auditor, a daily fee is required.

The course fee includes an active participation in all practical activities as masterclasses and workshops, attendance of recitals and Backstage talks. It includes three group dinners. Not included are costs of the harp rent, the private lessons, accomodation and other meals.

The scolarship offers a full active participation program (participation in all practical activities as masterclasses and workshops, attendance of recitals and Backstage talks). A Scholarship covers the costs of Application fee and  Course fee. A Scholarship does not include travel expenses,  harp rent, meals and private lessons fees.

Application fee is submitted with Application Documents

Rest of fees:

– 50 %  within 10 days after receiving “Registration Form”

– 50% within 30 days after receiving “Registration Form”

Written cancellation will be accepted before May 1st  of the applied course year. All paid fees will be refunded, except Application fee, bank and credit card transmission costs. Course cancellation fee of Euro 130.00 will be charged. After May 1st of the applied course year there will be no refund in the event of cancellation or non-attendance. All outstanding fees must be paid

If in the event of « Force majeure » such as war, nature disaster, epidemic etc.  the Edition of HarpMasters Academy has to be cancelled, all fees are refunded except for the bank and credit card transmission fees.

ABOUT THE ACCOMODATION

Participants are accomodated in the Albergo dell’ Academia (prices quoted are on a shared basis (2 people)) in Mondovì which is 5 minutes walking form the Masterclass location. Alternatively, participants may organise their stay at other locations.

ABOUT THE LOCATION

The International Summer Academy HarpMasters is held in Mondovì (CN) in Italy. The Academy’ activities are held in the historical centre of the charming medival town which provides an ideal place for concentrated studies, comfortable and secure living with the background of beautiful landscapes of the Piemont region.

Mondovì is located in Northern Italy in the Piemont region. If you are flying, we suggest flying into one of the following airports: Turin (150 km north), Milan Malpensa (250 km), Genoa (220 km) or Nice (250 km). From the airports you can catch a train (www.trenitalia.com) all the way to Mondovì.
